Offline licensing

Network-less activation and refresh is available for air-gapped or network-restricted machines.

It requires a lifetime license – it will not work with a trial or subscription license.

The process:

• From the computer you want to activate (important), choose Offline Licensing when first starting the app, or Tools > Offline licensing from the Mouseless menu
• Click Save Request File and save the file to disk
• On a computer with network access, upload that file to the online tool
  • Enter your license key if prompted
• Click Generate file and save the license file
  • If you entered a key, the tool offers a re-usable request file so you don’t have to enter it when refreshing
• Back in the Offline Licensing screen in Mouseless, click Load License File and choose the generated license file

Limits:

• If activating would put your license above the 5-machine limit, the online tool lists your machines and lets you replace one.
• A machine can be replaced once every 30 days.

Refresh:

Currently, you must refresh the license every 30 days, but this period will be extended or eliminated soon.
